Over the last few weeks we have rolled out a group of site upgrade. This has included a new look and feel for the site.

Ran the engine and checked the electronics on the wheel. Everyone working on their boats started looking and pointing.

Then I took all of the covers off the windows. But by midday I realized its way too hot with them off, and everyone can see inside the boat. So I put them all back on. Going to wait a few more days until I take them off again.

Went to the mall today to use some internet. It turns out the internet cafe at the YMCA closed down, so now I am here. Called my Mom on skype and talked to here for a while.

Gonna see Saw 6 at 7:50, it gives me something to do. Its only 6.50 American for a movie ticket here, thats cheap compared to the states.

My entry from yesterday dissapeared into a black hole, so I'll include yesterday in this entry.

Yesterday I dipe a full wipe down of the inside of the boat. The smell of vinegar made me want Salt & Vinegar Pringles really bad! It smelled so good.

Was cleaning up on deck for a while, then it started sprinkling. I didn't mind, but then it started raining hard and the sun was blotted out by black clouds, so it wasn't even worth it anymore.

I cannot express my contempt for this country anymore. I used an ATM to get money out to buy groceries. It didnt dispense the money, but it showed that it had taken it out of my account. So I went in and talked to the guy in the bank. He said the ATM was having problems, so go to customer service at the National Bank by the post office. So I went there and talked to four people, including the boss of the bank. And they all either got someone else to help me, or told me it wasnt their problem Read More...

Went to a bar today on the way to the internet cafe. I liked how it was noisy, so I walked in and got a beer. The place was mostly prostitutes, but that made it interesting too. One girl with tattoos came up to me and right as she said, ¨como estas?¨ A fight broke out behind me between two prostitutes. One of them was in her underwear and she was being dragged on the floor by her hair. Some others jumped in and there were a couple chairs thrown and tables knocked over.

Today I went into Quepos with the owner of the hostel and a girl that´s staying there. They wanted to get massages and ït was a good opportunity to get out of the hostel.

Yesterday I walked around the hills by the hostel and took pictures of the cow pastures and the canopy of the jungle below. I´m staying at a hostel now in Londres. It´s in the jungle. Pretty cool but there are lots of big bugs. I´m not scared of snakes or anything, but bugs creep me out- I´ve had too many crawl across my face when I was sleeping.

Today I walked around Quepos. It was raining hard. I went to the bank to get some money out, but I only had $20 in it. So I got that out and went and got rice and meat at this little place and then I came here.

Im hoping theres a hostel somewhere around because there are no more busses back to Puntarenas and I dont have much money.

So its been an ok day, but I just need to find a hostel now.

Today was strange. I woke up late and it was raining. Then it started pouring, and thunder lit up the skies. The thunder was so loud it was like a thousand armies charging over the mangrove. I have never heard anything like it in my life. A lightning strike took out the power all over town; from the marinas to Puntarenas. Another lightning strike I could hear hit a tree or something by the pool. When I came out to look everyone was outside looking.

Today I decided to go swimming. It's been a little while since I went in the pool. It felt good to do some laps. Got out and stretched and did sets of push-ups.

When I got back I cleaned all the floors, wiped the cushions in the salon, cleaned dishes, and then took out trash.

I was going to watch a movie but I only got five hours of sleep last night and I feel pretty beat. My mind is wandering onto strange thoughts and subjects.

It's been a while! The site was down here for the last couple of days.

Last Saturday I got my backpack all packed up and ready for a two week excursion.I went into San Jose and checked into a hostel. I left my backpack there and then went to check out a club called Vertigo.

Did the usual morning routine, ate breakfast and then went on the internet for an hour.

Did the usual upkeep as well- the trash, cleaned dishes, wiped the counter. Then I read for most of the day one of my books, and later in the evening read Sailing Fundamentals.

Feeling pretty tired, but I feel like having some cereal as well...

Today I got up and made coffee. Felt a little too wired but whatever.

I did some online work and continued reading the book Dustin gave me.

Tonight I watched The Doors but decided not to finish it because I'm going to bed right now. In the morning the neighbors are going to San Jose for some "erreands" and they invited me to tag along, but I think there's no point in going at the moment.

The internet has been down for the past couple of days and it just started working again this afternoon; but extremely slow.

Picked up my laundry today with Roger. We went in his dhingy and went over to the yacht club. I was surprised at how expensive it was for laundry! I guess they really gouge you when they know you have money.

Began reading the Sailing Fundamentals book- alot of stuff to take in.

Today was a slow day. I got up and cleaned the kitchen again because I had company over the night before. I cleaned the stove as well and emptied all the trash barrels.

I read most of the day, but then I got up and cleaned the floor and the cushions on the sofa because it bothered me.

Started pouring at around sunset, but it has mostly stopped now.
