This boat was listed with a local broker and I knew the basics of the KP background and reputation. As a side note reviewing this design more I found there is a very nice owners group web site. This can be found on any major search engine with "kelly peterson owners" as the key words.

See my review of the 46 which is a similar design.Â The 44 was ruled out due to price versus value.Â I saw little difference between the 44 and 46, as the 44 seemed to be a mini me of the 46.

I have been told that they are produced under different conditions and the 46 is a much better boat.Â This is unconfirmed.

I am happy to speak very frankly about sailing, living aboard, living in the Caribbean, leaving the US system, or any other topic you want to discuss. I have watched many people come and go from boating in the time I have been living aboard, both those living on smaller boats and those living on 110 foot mega yachts. It seems that many people come expecting tropical paradise and are shocked to find paradise is not always what you see in the pictures but includes some mosquitoes, huge bugs, poverty, stray dogs, crime, drugs, and many other problems left out of the tourist photos.
