Sceptre 41 Pilothouse - Reviewed 6/2004 asking price approx $190,000 LOA: ? LWL:? Beam:? Draft:? Disp:? Hull: ? This boat was listed with Sceptre marine. I guess that Sceptre agrees to list and resell boats the produce as all Sceptre's that I have seen listed are listed with them. Sceptre arranged for me to meet with the owner and see the boat which was located in the SFO area. I was impressed with how the boat was built and designed. Upon looking the boat over very well I have concluded that these boats would make a great smaller cruising choice. For Jacie and I we have decided upon something larger with an aft cabin. In the Sceptre the forward cabin is the master berth. This is OK but for our purposes we would like a bed that either person can get out of without crawling on the other. This is not possible in the Sceptre.  As for the pilot house it is very nice and well constructed. The pilot house allows great visibility and openness in the main cabin. This is a great living area for a boat this size. Conclusion on this model is that it would be a great choice for someone who is cruising alone or does not want super live aboard comforts and a layout to match. These are great boats do not get me wrong. Just not for us currently. |
